Creating an Event
Learn how to set up and publish your event in minutes.
Step 1: Start a New Event
- Log in to your Swarmtix account
- Navigate to your dashboard
- Click the Create Event button
Step 2: Basic Information
Fill in your event's basic details:
- Event Name - Choose a clear, descriptive title
- Event Type - Select the category that best fits
- Date & Time - Set your event's start and end times
- Time Zone - Ensure the correct time zone is selected
Double-check your time zone! Attendees will see the event time converted to their local time.
Step 3: Location Settings
Choose your event location type:
In-Person Events
- Enter the venue name and full address
- Add any special directions or parking information
- Optionally enable seat selection for reserved seating
Online Events
- Select "Online Event" as the location type
- Configure your video provider (Zoom integration available)
- Set up hosts and webinar settings
Hybrid Events
- Configure both physical and virtual attendance options
Step 4: Event Description
Create a compelling event description:
- Use clear, engaging language
- Highlight key speakers or activities
- Include what attendees will learn or experience
- Add images to make your event stand out
Tip: Events with images get 3x more views than those without!
Step 5: Configure Tickets
Set up your ticket types:

| Ticket Name | e.g., "General Admission", "VIP", "Early Bird" |
| Price | Set to $0 for free tickets |
| Quantity | Total tickets available |
| Sales Period | When tickets go on sale and end |
| Description | What's included with this ticket |
Step 6: Review and Publish
Before publishing:
- Preview your event page
- Check all dates and times
- Verify ticket prices and quantities
- Review your description for errors
Click Publish Event when ready. Your event will be live immediately!
