swarmtix_speakers_update

Changes a speaker of an online event and returns it. Only the fields you give are changed. Fields you leave out keep their values.

When you would reach for it

Fixing a name or job title.
Replacing a photo.

Scope

The connection's user must be allowed to edit the event, and the event must be an online event.

It is marked not idempotent, because a new photo is stored as a new copy on every call.

This tool can fetch an image from a URL you give it, so it is marked openWorldHint: true.

Parameters

At least one field must be given. There is no way to clear a field.

What comes back

The speaker as stored after the change: id, firstName, lastName, company, jobTitle and photo.

What happens when you call it

The event is resolved through the edit gate and must be an online event.
Every given field is checked.
The speaker must be on this event.
A speaker that is also on another event is refused, because editing it here would change that event too.
Only the columns you gave are written.

Troubleshooting

"Event not found, or this connection does not have access to it."

The event does not exist, it belongs to another organisation, or this organizer may read it but not edit it.

"This event is not an online event. Talks, speakers, categories and hosts belong to online events only. Nothing was changed."

The event is a physical event. These tools only work on events created with kind: "online".

"`speaker` is not valid: there is no speaker with that id on this event."

The id is not a speaker of this event. Get the ids from swarmtix_online_program_get.

"`speaker` is not valid: this speaker is also on another event, so editing it here would change that event too."

Edit a shared speaker in the Swarmtix dashboard, or create a new speaker for this event.
