swarmtix_talks_update
Changes a talk of an online event, including its time, speakers, categories and video
swarmtix_talks_update
Changes a talk of an online event and returns it. Only the fields you give are changed.
When you would reach for it
- Moving a talk to another time.
- Changing the speakers or the video of a talk.
Scope
events:write
The connection's user must be allowed to edit the event, and the event must be an online event.
It is idempotent: sending the same arguments twice leaves the same talk, so a client may retry.

"name": "swarmtix_talks_update",
"arguments": {
"event": "spring-summit-online",
"talk": "f07b0000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000",
"startsAt": "2030-06-01T17:00:00Z"
}
}What comes back
The talk as stored after the change, in the same shape as swarmtix_talks_create.
What happens when you call it
- The event is resolved through the edit gate and must be an online event.
- Every given field is checked, and the talk must be on this event.
- A talk that runs as a Zoom live session is refused.
- Only the fields you gave are written. Moving the earliest talk moves the start of the event.
Troubleshooting
"Event not found, or this connection does not have access to it."
The event does not exist, it belongs to another organisation, or this organizer may read it but not edit it.
"This event is not an online event. Talks, speakers, categories and hosts belong to online events only. Nothing was changed."
The event is a physical event. These tools only work on events created with kind: "online".
"talk is not valid: there is no talk with that id on this event."
The id is not a talk of this event. Get the ids from swarmtix_online_program_get.
"This talk runs as a Zoom live session. Change or delete it in the Swarmtix dashboard, which keeps the Zoom meeting in step. Nothing was changed."
Any Zoom talk is refused by update and delete. Use the dashboard.
Use cases
- Rescheduling a talk after a speaker change
