What is an event marketing plan?

An event marketing plan says what you will do to sell tickets, on which channel and in which week, from the day sales open to the day of the event. This template builds that plan from your dates, your ticket goal and the channels you use.

Why use an early-bird price?

Most ticket sales come at the start, when you announce, and at the end, when the deadline is close. An early-bird price gives people a reason to buy at the start. Pick a clear end date for it, say the date in every message, and do not extend it.

How early should I start selling tickets?

Start selling 6 to 10 weeks before the event for most events, and earlier for a conference or a large show. A short sales window can work for a small event, and this template adjusts the plan to the time you have.
