Standard domestic card rates from Stripe's pricing page for each country, checked October 2026: US 2.9% + 30¢, UK 1.5% + 20p, Canada 2.9% + CA$0.30, Australia 1.65% + A$0.30. International cards, currency conversion, disputes and refunds can cost more. Fees are rounded to the cent.
For standard domestic cards Stripe charges 2.9% + 30¢ per successful payment in the US, 1.5% + 20p in the UK, 2.9% + CA$0.30 in Canada and 1.65% + A$0.30 in Australia. International cards and currency conversion cost extra, and businesses with high volume can ask Stripe for a custom rate.
Add the fixed fee to the amount you want, then divide by one minus the percentage fee. In the US, to receive $100 you charge (100 + 0.30) / (1 - 0.029) = $103.30. Stripe then takes $3.30 and you keep $100.00.
Swarmtix adds $0.99 + 1.5% per paid ticket (£0.99, CA$0.99 or A$0.99 in the UK, Canada and Australia) on top of Stripe's fee, and nothing for free tickets. Payments go straight into your own Stripe account, so you see every fee in your Stripe dashboard.
